Maddie Mae Fessant premieres radio release at concert
Miss Maddie Mae Fessant, seven-year-old daughter of BJ and Amanda Fessant, will perform her radio release Sunday night at the HIS and Friends Celebrate Christ's Birth Concert to be held beginning at 6 p.m. at Lake Ridge Christian Church.
Fessant appears on a Christmas Compilation Disc sent to 700 Christian County, 300 Southern Gospel and 100 Country radio stations across the nation.
The company was looking for new Christmas material and asked for young people to submit songs to be considered for the release and Fessant was selected as the only youth to appear on the disc.
She will appear Sunday along with many of her friends of the ministry and other very talented youth such as Shayleigh Cline, Kaitlin Neibarger, the dance camp girls, HIS dance troupe, and the adult talent as well: Tanner Laughlin, Jonathon Boren and Company, Freida Pitchford, and Fessant's mother and host of the evening, Amanda Fessant.
Maddie Mae Fessant will have her new CD that features her brother DJ also, at the event.
Fessant is very excited to have a three song CD with scripture readings by her and her brother for family and friends in time for the Christmas season. The featured song that went to radio is titled, "God's Love at Christmas."
All three of the songs on the CD were written by her mother.
Maddie Mae has become a very exciting part of the HIS Ministry team," said Amanda Fessant. "She and her brother DJ travel and participate in many activities of the ministry."
Another exciting even for the young seven-year-old, is that she was recently invited to perform her Christmas song at the Belmont Mansion in Nashville, Tenn. for the annual Christmas party given by the Music City Christian Fellowship. Along with this honor, she was also invited to join the Christian Country Music Association and is to date, their youngest member.
She expressed her desire to invite everyone in the community to Sunday's concert.
"I want to thank God for making my wish come true and also, my brother for being on this CD with me. You are the best brother! I want to thank my mom, dad and grandma for being supportive in my ministry and music. Thanks to everyone at my church, my teachers there, my friends and those that helped support my CD. Thank you to my family, my grandparents, all of you, my aunts and uncles, all my cousins, there are too many to list."
