Local artist's music climbs to No. 27 on Christian Country Music Top 100

Amanda Fessant of Paris is pleasantly surprised to receive word that her song "He Loved Me When," a tribute to her father, not only was still on the chart, but has risen to No. 27 on the Christian Country Music Top 100.
Fessant said, "I was so excited as I was hoping to get in the top 40." Her song debuted at No. 90 in June, followed by No. 69 in July and No. 41 in August on the Christian Country Music Top 100 of the Power Source Magazine.
Fessant said she was also very surprised by the large number of Country radio stations that have reported playing the release and that she is so very excited about her first national release.
She explained that she is to be in the studio finishing up her new CD project during the month of October with a projected release date in December. Fessant has been invited to perform a showcase for the ICM Week in Nashville, Tenn., at the Acuff Theatre at Opry Mills in November. "This is quite an honor and a privilege for me," said Fessant.
She explained that it will be on the heals of her next trip to Arizona to work on a different Indian reservation from that of this summer.
"I feel grateful that they think we are of value in the work there and want HIS Ministry to be a part of this ongoing effort," said Fessant.
She added that the ministry will return to Louisiana after the first of the year to again with the Christian school in Slidell, La.
