serving children of Edgar County, IL

Amanda Fessant began Christmas  for Kids  in 2006.  When she became ill with breast cancer in 2010, she wanted us to promise to keep her dream alive and make sure the children of Edgar County did not go without Christmas.  Amanda lost her battle with cancer on April 30, 2011.  We have promised to keep her dream alive  and her memory strong.

How can I help?

Each December, a wrap party is held and volunteers are needed to help wrap the presents, bag them to prepare for delivery and to deliver the presents.  This wrap party occurs on two nights.  Due to the number of children and that each child receives four to five presents each, this requires many volunteers.

Another way to help is by making a donation.  Donations of new toys are accepted or monetary donations to go towards the clothing are accepted.  For more information contact HIS Ministry, Inc.

How do I apply for Christmas for Kids?

Applications will be available through the Edgar County school systems, ERBA,WIC, HRC or may be obtained by contacting HIS Ministry, Inc.
